Lt. Gen Al Edmonds, USAF (Ret): former Commanding General of the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), the Defense Dept.’s communications arm—to be President of Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Federal Sector, based in Washington, DC.

Major General Marcelite Harris, USAF (Ret.)—to be Chief Operating Officer of the New York City school system. General Harris was the first African-American female maintenance officer in the Air Force, the first wing Commander at Keesler Air Force base in Biloxi, Miss.—and the Air Force’s first two-star African American female general.

Maj. General Chuck Henry, USA (Ret.)—to be President of the Veterans Business Development Corp, created by Congress to support the entrepreneurial aspirations of veterans in their own businesses.

Major General Evan Gaddis, USA (Ret.)—to be President of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association (GAMA).

Lt. Gen Mike McDuffie, USA (Ret.)—to the Anteon Corporation as divisional president of this Virginia-based information technology company

Major General Greg Rountree, USA (Ret.), from Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), where he was the Strategic Policy and Planning head directly working for Deputy Sec. of Defense Paul Wolfowitz—to the Raytheon Corp., where he is Mission Area Executive in charge of worldwide development and oversight of the company’s air defense business, including the Patriot missile

Rear Admiral Anthony Watson, USN (Ret.)—to the post of Chief Executive Officer of the Center for Military and Private Sector Initiatives. Tony, a Chicago native and the first African-American head of midshipmen at the Naval Academy, also scored another first when he became the first African-American naval officer to reach Flag status.

Maj. Gen Ralph Wooten, USA (Ret.): former Commanding General of the Army’s Chemical Arsenal--to Executive Vice President, Management Systems Inc.

Matisse Wright, USAF (Ret.): America’s first African-American female jet navigator—to Booz Allen Hamilton’s worldwide operations. This Annapolis graduate and White House fellow was appointed to work with Sec. of the Treasury Robert Rubin for a full year as a White House fellow.
